IC nosotros

International College (IC) is a bilingual school that aims to lead in education at national and regional levels by enabling students to acquire XXI Century skills and achieve the best results through a rigorous and comprehensive international and Uruguayan curricula.

Sports, the Arts, and Academics rooted in Technology are the main pillars upon which IC stands. The learning environment fosters creativity and innovation, encouraging students to reach their full potential and be masters of their own destiny. Students are exposed to a diverse community which seeks to promote an open dialogue and fertile soil for the exchange of ideas. Teamwork, community service, and fellowship are central to the students’ actions. Moreover, we work towards promoting self-improvement, self-reflection and universal values such as respect, dignity and human rights, allowing the flourishment of international mindedness in the development of a global citizen.

At the end of their Secondary education journey, students will have been exposed to the necessary skills and tools to further their studies at leading public and private universities nationally and abroad, encouraging the spirit of a life long learner.

Our educational programmes promote the development of thinking strategies in the search for innovative solutions to the problems and challenges of our era. We seek to generate awareness of global issues, comprehending topics through different perspectives and points of view.

The School has chosen a solid educational path so as to provide the optimum conditions for our students to develop their individual potential as integral beings.

International College is a secular institution which promotes the development of autonomous students to become communicators, inquirers, creative and innovators, principled, caring, reflective, risk-takers, leaders when they can, team players when they should, open-minded with a global vision, transiting naturally in other cultures.

It proposes to achieve this through a bilingual and balanced education reaching high international standards by means of an integrated educational system that promotes universal values, close interaction with the community and the education of responsible and environmentally conscious citizens who are interested in others and in themselves.

International College aspires to be a reference institution of excellence in multicultural education, open to students of all nationalities, bearing in mind that each individual must develop her/his intellectual, psychological and physical potential, in order to be inserted in society, based on respect for human dignity.

The students of the institution cultivate skills to become truly committed and happy global citizens by promoting a healthy lifestyle, respectful of nature and capable of choosing their own future.

Our community profile is based on attributes from the International Baccalaureate and Cambridge International Examinations.
